About Us

Hey, y’all! We’re Cluck & Stitches. 🐔🧵

Cluck & Stitches is a little handmade business, a family adventure, and—most days—a whole lot of wingin’ it.

Our story started with a pretty big change. We packed up our family and moved from a busy Florida city to a small rural town in Georgia. We wanted something different for our three kids: more room to run, more time outside, a little farm life, and a childhood with plenty of dirt, animals, imagination, and adventures.

Somewhere along the way, that slower, more handmade way of life started turning into our business too.

From Oven Mitts to Cluck & Stitches

I learned to sew from both of my grandmothers, and in 2025 I started selling handmade oven mitts on Etsy under the name Rustic Twist By Jess.

At the time, it was mostly my little creative outlet. I loved taking fabric and turning it into something useful, colorful, and made to last.

Then, in 2026, we decided to try our first in-person market.

And apparently, we don't know how to do anything small. 😂

Markets opened the door to more products, more ideas, and eventually more involvement from the whole family. The kids started inspiring things I made, helping at events, and coming up with ideas of their own.

We even came home from one of those markets with something that definitely wasn't on the inventory list: Marshall, our Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix. 🐾

And Marshall ended up inspiring a whole new chapter of our story.

When Rustic Twist Became Cluck & Stitches

As the business grew, Rustic Twist By Jess just didn't feel like it fit anymore.

This wasn't only my thing.

Our kids were becoming part of it. Our home, our recipes, our projects, our market adventures, and all the chaos behind the scenes were becoming part of it too.

So in 2026, Rustic Twist By Jess became Cluck & Stitches.

“Stitches” represents the handmade side of our family—sewing, creating, and making things meant to be used and loved.

“Cluck” represents everything happening around it—the stories, recipes, projects, family adventures, and occasional chaos you'll find over on The Daily Cluck.

Together, it finally felt like us.

And Then a 7-Year-Old Wrote a Book...

Our oldest son, Dean, decided he wanted to create something of his own.

Inspired by Marshall, he dreamed up Wonder Pup, a superhero dog, and wrote his first story, Wonder Pup versus the Slime Monster, at just seven years old.

We helped him edit his story, used AI to help bring his ideas and characters to life visually, and figured out the publishing process together as a family. In September 2026, Dean's story officially became a real book.

Watching him hold something that started completely in his imagination was one of those moments that reminded us exactly why we're building this.

We don't just want our kids to watch us create.

We want them to grow up believing they can create things too.

Handmade by Our Family, for Yours

Today, Cluck & Stitches is still home to the practical handmade pieces that started everything—yes, we're still making oven mitts!—but it has grown into so much more.

You'll find handmade kitchen goods, imaginative play pieces for kids, seasonal creations, macramé, family projects, recipes and stories from The Daily Cluck, Dean's Wonder Pup adventures, and whatever else our family dreams up next.

We're building this business right alongside the life we moved to Georgia to give our kids: one with more creativity, more time outside, more opportunities to make things with our own hands, and plenty of room for a little whimsy.

Thanks for being here, shopping handmade, reading our stories, meeting us at markets, cheering on a seven-year-old author, and watching our little family business grow.

From our family to yours, thanks for letting us bring a little whimsy home. ❤️
